- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs

- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt until well blended.
- Pour in the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until you have a smooth batter.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using).
- Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
- Let the pie cool in the dish for 10-15 minutes.
- Cut into wedges with a sharp knife.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
- Drizzle with chocolate sauce or sprinkle extra chocolate chips or nuts for decoration (optional).

- If you have leftovers, cover and refrigerate for 3-4 days. Reheat individual slices in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.
- Use high-quality cocoa powder and chocolate chips for the best flavor.
- Substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
- Add espresso powder or cinnamon for enhanced flavor, or layer in peanut butter or caramel for a twist.
