Juicy Steak with Creamy Garlic Sauce

A juicy, seared-to-perfection steak covered in a rich, creamy garlic sauce! This easy and indulgent recipe brings restaurant-quality flavor right to your home kitchen — perfect for date nights, special occasions, or anytime you crave something truly delicious!

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 2 ribeye or New York strip steaks (about 1 inch thick)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon butter (for searing)

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Let steaks come to room temperature (about 20–30 minutes). Pat dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Once sizzling, add steaks. Sear 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting to your preferred doneness.

  • Remove steaks from the pan and let them rest under foil.

  • In the same pan, lower the heat. Melt butter, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Stir in heavy cream, scraping up browned bits from the pan. Add Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–5 minutes until thickened.

  • Plate steaks and pour creamy garlic sauce over the top. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy every luscious bite!

Notes

  • Resting the steaks after cooking keeps them juicy and tender.

  • Don’t rush the sauce — let it gently thicken for the silkiest texture.

  • You can swap heavy cream for half-and-half if you want a slightly lighter sauce (but the richness is so worth it!).

  • Feel free to toss in mushrooms or spinach to the sauce for extra flavor!
