Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.

In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough, flatten slightly, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, fold over, and roll into a ball.

Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are just set but centers look a little soft.

Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

For the glaze: whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
