  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, yogurt, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).

  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently using a spatula.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers still look a little soft.

  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Use Greek yogurt for thicker, slightly more cakey cookies, or regular yogurt for a lighter crumb.
